[S10E2] 17 Chefs Compete

The eighteen chefs arrived to Hell's Kitchen via SUVs and police escort, and as they walked in, Sous Chef Scott told the chefs he shaved his head to prove his commitment to Ramsay and showed a picture of him with a full head of hair, before deciding to shave the chefs' heads. After two chefs got their heads shaved, really Sous Chef Scott's friends, the latter was about to shave Danielle's head until Ramsay stopped him and told her to get back in line. He told the chefs to get in the kitchens to cook their signature dishes.

[S10E2] 17 Chefs Compete

The eighteen chefs arrived at Hell's Kitchen via SUVs and police escort, and as they walked in, Clemenza said he would do whatever it takes to win. Sous Chef Scott told the chefs he shaved his head to prove his commitment to Ramsay and showed a picture of him with a full head of hair, before deciding to shave the chefs' heads. After two chefs, who were really Sous Chef Scott's friends, got their heads shaved, the latter was about to shave Danielle's head until Ramsay stopped him and told her to get back in line. He told the chefs to get in the kitchens to cook their signature dishes.

Back at the dorms, Clemenza felt the men needed the win that night as the women lost a chef before the entire blue team agreed to win the next challenge. The next day, a group of dogs was let loose in the dorms, and their loud barking woke up the chefs, confusing Barbie. Once up, Sous Chef Scott gave them overalls to put on.

The next day, at 5:15 AM, the chefs were sound asleep, except for Clemenza as he woke up early, and decided to get everybody up as he had his dish on the menu that night. As an annoyed Robyn told him to shut up and get his ass back in the bed, Brian complained about the shouting as well. During prep, he made sure the blue team was organized, but an annoyed Brian told him to take a breath and reminded him they were still a team, while Justin did not see the big deal of his dish as the puttanesca sauce was just a simple tomato sauce, leading to some frustrations. Before service began, he decided to cook four portions of scallops before the doors had open, with a shocked Ramsay asking why he was doing that.[6] As those four portions were now wasted, Justin asked him what the fuck he was doing, Patrick felt he would get sent home immediately, and an angry Ramsay asked him if he wanted to go home. He admitted it was his mistake but said that none of his teammates said a fucking word despite watching him do it.

Clemenza was the blue team's first nominee for elimination, with Guy as the second. During his plea, he felt he had been an asset to the blue team since the beginning based on challenge performances, but then, Ramsay asked the safe blue chefs who they felt should go home that night. All of them said his name, but that angered him as he played 100% that night, gave it all every single time despite chasing animals and digging up trees, and never once stopped to let his guard down, before calling out his teammates for trying to get rid of him despite putting out better food than them all. Afterwards, Ramsay told him that despite a bad night, he had done well in the competition before asking if he was done, but he said he was nowhere close to being done. In the end, Ramsay called up his name, but sent him back in line, with the red team giving him a standing ovation after being impressed with his passionate plea as Robyn high fived him on his way back. After Guy's elimination, Ramsay told him to use his passion, and while being dismissed, he felt he had more love from the red team than his own teammates.[7]

Clemenza was named the blue team's second nominee for elimination, with Royce as the first. During his plea, Ramsay told him that he served more food on his jacket than he did to the diners, but he felt he had been on top of performances every day until having a mindfuck on the scallops that night. While Ramsay felt he was done, he disagreed. In the end, Ramsay ordered both down to the front and told them to take off their jackets. After Royce's elimination, Ramsay called him disappointing as he expected a lot more from him but gave him a clean jacket and told him to stay clean for one service. After he went back in line, Ramsay pointed out to the chefs that they started with eighteen of them and were now down to nine. While being dismissed, he thought he was done, but was glad he was given a second chance and it was do or die.[11]

During the Blind Taste Test, Clemenza laughed when Brian called the turkey he tasted dry. He was the third person from the blue team to compete and went up against Tiffany. He got none of his ingredients correct and scored 0 out of 4. The blue team eventually won the challenge 7-6, and they were rewarded with a day at Raging Waters with the whole park to themselves. During the reward, he was seen doing a handstand and was the only chef not interested in Brian's suggestion on one of the larger slides.

The next day, Clemenza took notice of Ludo Lefebvre and Quinn Hatfield next to Ramsay, along with three covered domes, before wondering what would be under those domes. When tasting Hatfield's seafood pasta, he knew it was not pasta. During the Taste It Now Make It Challenge, he was paired up with Dana. As the chefs tasted the dish, Ramsay reminded him not to eat it all, even though he felt that they were all eating it like six hungry people who were just left out of prison. They used veal, prosciutto, white bean, horseradish, and maderia in order to recreate Ramsay's dish. They were the first pair to present their dish. They won the challenge as they got all but the horseradish correct. They were rewarded with a trip to Silverwood lake to have a gourmet picnic and drive on their own jet skis. During the reward, the two went on the jet skis as Dana wanted to smoke him out on the water, while he called the experience awesome. Once the two drove their jet skis to the picnic, he was in awe of Dana's bikini as the two toasted to their win.

Clemenza was one of the eight chefs that came back for the final dinner service. Despite feeling that he was the best chef left to pick after Dana and Barbie, he was surprised when Christina picked Patrick as she never worked with the former before. Then, he disappointingly had no idea what the thought process was anymore after Justin picked Royce. He was Justin's final pick, after Barbie, Brian, and Royce, and was the final pick overall. He was not happy that he was overlooked by many people.

In this episode, 20 initial chefs were transported to Hell's Kitchen in a police-escorted motorcade, where sous chef Scott greeted them and explained he shaved his head to prove his dedication to Chef Ramsay, as did sous chef Andi. He called for volunteers to shave their heads; two of the "chefs" then turned out to be Scott's friends instead and got their heads shaved. Scott then called out actual contestant Danielle and was about to shave her head before Ramsay stopped him. It was later revealed that Andi was wearing a bald cap.

Team challenge/signature dish: Each chef created their signature dish; men (blue team) competed against women (red team). Robyn's seared striped bass scored over Don's Southwestern saltimbocca (Don's dish had too much cumin), neither Tiffany's lamb schnitzel nor Guy's pan-seared striped bass scored a point (Tiffany's dish was compared to a wet diaper, and Guy told Ramsay not to try his dish as he burned his sauce), Roshni's coriander-crusted rack of lamb and Royce's pan-seared grouper both scored points (Royce also revealed that he works for Season 1 runner-up Ralph Pagano), Justin's dish scored over Danielle's spaghetti and shrimp, neither Kimmie's Fisherman's Trio nor Brian's dessert scored a point, as well as Barbie and Chris' dishes (Barbie's potatoes were soggy, and Chris' dish was bitter and burnt), Briana's duck and Patrick's dish both scored a point, and Dana's pan-seared scallops scored over Tavon's fettuccine with shrimp, scallops and crab (Tavon's dish had too much vinegar). Lastly, Christina's molasses-glazed pork chop scored over Clemenza's stuffed veal chop, giving the women a 5-3 win.

Rude awakening: The chefs were rudely awakened at 5:47 in the morning to a loud sound of stomping in the dorms. This sound turned out to be None other than Barbie stomping around while she was doing the dishes. This led to a fight involving Tiffany, Robyn and herself, with the former two threatening to hurt her.

Service: The service was Mexican night. The blue team started badly with Guy delivering undercooked tuna, but he recovered. On the red team, Barbie served incorrectly seasoned mussels and Kimmie baffled Ramsay by putting meat and fish on the same tray. Several chefs were kicked out; Guy and Patrick for overcooking meat and communication issues, Justin and Clemenza after Justin served raw pork despite Clemenza's warning, Royce for serving burnt chicken, Danielle for serving raw pork twice, Barbie for using a thermometer to check a chicken, and Tiffany for serving burnt mashed potatoes. The remaining chefs (Brian and Roshini in the blue kitchen and Kimmie, Robyn, Dana, and Christina in the red kitchen) finished service, but Ramsay again named no winner.

Team challenge: In front of each team were four domes and each dome contained six ingredients. Every five minutes, one dome became available for use. Each team member had take one ingredient from the dome to go with their protein and were judged by three Michelin-starred chefs, Michael Cimarusti, Anita Lo and Douglas Keane, who would rate each dish on a scale of 1-3 stars. Tiffany and Justin each scored 6 stars on monkfish and Barbie and Clemenza tied at 5 stars for chicken. Kimmie's turkey was underseasoned while Roshni's was dry, each scoring the minimum 3 stars. Brian and Dana also tied with 6 stars for the veal chop. Patrick then scored 6 stars for his pork tenderloin while Robyn scored the minimum of 3 stars after she admitted to the judges that she hated beets and didn't want to use them. The red team won 30-29 after Royce scored the minimum of 3 stars for leaving both a hair and the digestive tract on his lobster tail, while Christina's scored 7, with Anita being the only judge to award any dish 3 stars. 041b061a72
